Intro
As part of Cathay’s strategic move into Open Banking, I led the backend design of CaaS (Cathay as a Service)—a pioneering API platform that enables seamless collaboration between Cathay and cross-industry partners. Designed to extend Cathay’s financial services beyond traditional channels, CaaS packages APIs into real-world scenarios, allowing partners to explore use cases, test integrations in a sandbox, and initiate formal collaboration—all within a single portal. My role focused on building a robust backend system to manage this complex API lifecycle, supporting multiple user roles, workflows, and permission layers. This project was a key step in Cathay’s digital transformation, enabling faster and more scalable partnerships across industries.
